Ratings and not any good news

Well Chuck a duck – NBC’s spy dramedy returned to action this Monday with barely 4 million total viewers and dropped 13 percent to a new all-time low demo rating of 1.3. Your mission moving forward, tweets series boss Josh Schwartz: “[There are] 4 more episodes left. You all watch ‘em = good things happen. You don’t and… Well, you all will.”

The ratings for last nights Chuck, Season 4 Episode 18: "Chuck vs. The A-Team" reached a series-low 5.26 Million viewers with a 1.6% in the 18-49 age category. However, this is because of the implementation of Daylight savings in the USA. Next week's Chuck numbers should be back up to normal.

Chuck 4.13 vs the Push Mix update

Ratings for Chuck 4.13 vs the Push Mix reached a high of 5.7 Million but only averaged 5.4 Million viewers last night whick equals an season low of 1.7.

I feel I am repeating myself, but I sincerely mean it; Chuck ALWAYS features fantastic tunes!
This week there is no exceptions:

Rad Omen - "Rad Anthem" (Rad-Radical track)
Salt N Pepa - "Push" (I will not be able to hear the original now, without thinking about poor Ellie and JEFFSTER! Besides I´m spoiled by Lester´s voice, the original does not stand a chance! Hahaha! )
Grand Vanity - "Got A Nerve" (almost, but a great song too)
The Naked and Famous - "Young Blood" (Song of the Week of the debut album "Passive Me, Aggressive You from the kiwis")

Chuck 4.04 versus the Coup d´Etat update

Ratings: Chuck holds steady, with little promotion against strong two major sporting events upholding last weeks numbers of 1.9. Chuck was one of the few shows not to lose ground this Monday; House dropped another 10% over the last week, along with Dancing with the Stars and HIMYM, while Rules Of Engagement was the only show alongside Chuck to hold steady.

Conclusion: This confirms Chuck´s position as NBC´s flag ship, especially since both Chase and The Event dropping again this week, Outlaw cancelled and The Undercovers underperforming.

Music:
- Girls: Laura
- La Tropicana Orchestra: Tropicana - Santo and Johnny: Sleepwalk - Jesus Alejandro ‘El Nino’: Rebulu - Lewis LaMedica: Without You - Richard Ashcroft and the United Nations Of Sound: She Brings Me the Music (Song of the week)

Mini-review: I´m really happy with this weeks episode, a great uplifting from the two last episodes. So many truly awesome things happened in this episode so I have made a list of SOME of them:

- Babymoon
- Devon sharing his pro workout tunes with mini-awesome
- Chuck shaking his head no but saying yes to Sarah’s question about the 101 Questions book
- Alex and Morgan!
- ‘Way to go, marble me!’
- Morgan trying to take care of Casey.
- Sarah talking to Chuck in his "sleep?".

AND OF COURSE:

"Ah, yes. That. Both. All of the above. "

Mailbag: Could NBC Pull a Southland and Cancel Chuck Before It Airs?

Hi.
With the “Chuck” season finale having record low ratings, I’m worried NBC could go all “Southland” on “Chuck” and cancel it before it even airs an episode. Could it happen?

- Linda, Chippewa Falls, Wi.

While anything is possible, I’d be absolutely stunned if Chuck was pulled before even airing an episode. Especially with the sensitivity over Southland which, like Chuck, is also produced by Warner Bros, and with NBC wanting to appear all lovey-dovey with Hollywood so the Comcast acquisition gets approved, I just don’t see anything like that happening.

Still, NBC seems to be giving The Event a marketing push, and having a diminishing Chuck (which it appears NBC will never promote much again) as a lead-in must give NBC some heartburn. But so many things give NBC heartburn that coming in fourth at Mondays at 8pm surely can’t be at the top of that list.

What could NBC stick at Mondays at 8pm that would improve things versus Chuck and help The Event more?

Ratings: “Chuck versus the Tooth” Stays Flat

It’s another good news/bad news situation for Chuck fans, depending on your particular outlook. The fast overnights are in for “Chuck vs. the Tooth” and while they aren’t down from last week, they also aren’t up. Against new shows on the broadcast networks and a pair of hyped playoff games, Chuck pulled a 1.9 in the 18-49 demo (same as last week) with approximately 5.33 million viewers tuning in (up a smidge from last week's 5.28 million).

Chuck still drew NBC’s highest demo ratings for the night, however. And once again, we aren’t the only ones scratching our heads over low numbers: The Live Feed reports that House drew its lowest numbers since 2004.
