You’re in good company if your heart was a bit crushed by last week’s interrupted marriage proposal on NBC’s Chuck (airing Mondays at 8/7c). “It’s very sad, isn’t it, what happened,” says Yvonne Strahovski, sharing viewers’ pain.
“[Sarah] wanted it to happen, she wants the proposal,” the actress shares in an exclusive TVLine video Q&A, shown below. Alas, General Beckman’s plan to send Sarah undercover as a “treasonous” CIA agent, all in the name of rescuing Chuck’s mother (played by Linda Hamilton), swung into action before Chuck could even get to “Will you…?”
Also in this not-at-all-unattractive video: Yvonne shares her take on the leather-clad, brunette Sarah making her debut in this week’s episode (“It’s a whole new side of Sarah Walker we’re going to see!”), previews the return of very special (and very funny) guest star, and absolutely effuses about her favorite episode of the season.
Oh, right — Strahovski also weighs in on the matter of Sarah and Chuck ever getting that marriage proposal business taken care of properly.
"So nice to hear her speak her natural language for a change! I´m so excited for tomorrows episode; Sarah undercover with a black wig wearing a catsuit? She is going to kick some ASS! Also I can´t wait to have Roan back! He is fantastic! :D "

IF IT was any other movie, Zachary Levi's admission of a crush on a co-star would set tongues wagging. Fans of his NBC television series Chuck have been hoping for an off-screen romance with that show's Sydney-raised leading lady, Yvonne Strahovski.
But Levi's affection is directed at the character Rapunzel, the star of Disney's latest animated fairytale, Tangled.
"I have a crush on Rapunzel, I don't know, it's weird," he says.
"I do know why, it's the nose, the freckles, the eyes."
Levi is the voice of thief Flynn Rider, a beefed-up male lead designed by Disney to enhance the film's appeal to boys, while singer and actor Mandy Moore provides Rapunzel's voice.
Young viewers are expected to swoon for Rider, whose looks have been deliberately created to make young hearts flutter.
"I'm honoured to lend a voice to what is considered to be the hunkiest Disney prince," Levi says. "Thank God, I didn't know about any of this stuff until after we were done recording the movie, that would have been way too much pressure," he says.
Animators had to design new software to bring Rapunzel's 20m of blonde hair to life.
But Levi says that crowning glory was not Cupid's arrow.
"Hair is not a deal maker or breaker to me," he says.
"It's about the girl. That's true. That being said, I thought Rapunzel's short little brunette bob cut at the end of the movie was gorgeous."
The film is likely to be the last classic fairytale produced by Disney, with the children's powerhouse halting work on two others that had been in development: Jack And The Beanstalk and The Snow Queen.
"The guys who are in charge of Disney now, as in John [Lasseter] from Pixar, they are reinventing fairy tales," Levi says. " They are not borrowing from the Brothers Grimm or Hans Christian Andersen, they are creating their own thing that is in some ways even greater. They are making new fairytales; WALL-E is a fairytale, A Bug's Life is a fairytale."
A self-confessed Disney tragic, Levi says asking him to name a favourite Disney movie is like asking an alcoholic to name a favourite brand of scotch.
"Since I was a little kid, I dreamt of doing a Disney movie, specifically a Disney musical because I've always loved singing," he says. "For them to take a chance on me - believe in me and give me a chance to fulfil my dreams - is so surreal."
Most of all, he really appreciates the cartoon empire's honest approach to storytelling. "Unfortunately Hollywood doesn't really adhere to that any more. They come up with 20 kind of ridiculous gimmicks and loosely string them together and call that a movie," he says.
"I'll sit in a movie sometimes and I'll go 'what, there's so many logic problems'. It angers me as an audience member, especially when you're paying $15 for a movie ticket and the people making the movie didn't take the time to make it make sense. Garbage ... I hate it."

Thus, shortly before Santa brought me an abundance of new shoes and a ton of TV on DVD, Fedak hopped on the phone to tackle some of the inquiries you sent in. Chuck fans, I present the fruits of your voting and question-asking labors.
Janine asked: Have they decided on a name for baby Awesome yet? Fedak tells me the answer is yes, and unfortunately it’s not Awesome Jr. or Mini-Awesome — at least officially. But do look for an upcoming episode where all the characters get into the baby name debate. Specifically, how unique it should be.
Kristin asked: Can we expect any more Awesome missions? I love watching him freak out. As we all do. Lucky for us he has his biggest mission to date coming up: fatherhood. After baby Awesome is born around episode 13, expect to see infant-centric plotlines (think insomnia and fecal matter) that will find our Awesomeness in a mini identity crisis. “We’re going to watch Ellie and Awesome, who are the perfect couple, having a baby [and it] is a test. Is Awesome still the most awesome guy in the world when you have a baby keeping you up for 99 percent of the night?” Fedak says.
R asked: Yay, Chuck FTW! I guess the only question I have is “When should we expect the epic proposal that seems to be coming?” But I think I can make a good guess at that. Your guess might not be as good as you think.
Paul asked: I read a rumor that John Larroquette is coming back as Roan. True or False? Considering the episode is called “Chuck Versus the Seduction Impossible,” did you really have any doubt? He is, indeed, returning, Fedak confirms. The episode will find the team on a mission to Morocco where they are infiltrating the fortress of a Moroccan general who has a mercenary army made up of women. “Of course when you go up against a mercenary of women, you’re going to need Roan Montgomery with you.”
@Anjosie asked via Twitter: When can we expect another Sarah Walker backstory episode and can you hint us to what it will reveal? The next one will be in the latter part in the season and will deepen the mystery about Sarah and “how she became who she is.” Hey, it ain’t much, but that Fedak is a tough nut to crack.
@excitedforchuck asked via Twitter: Is Sarah’s mom or Carina coming back this season? The rumor has swirled around the Internet, but Fedak officially confirms that Carina (Maria Elena) will return in the Charlie’s Angels-themed episode. But you best soak it up while you can — she might not return for a while. “It’s one of those things where almost every time we break an episode, there’s a point where we say ‘…and then Carina can come in.’ The problem with our show is that we have so many wonderful characters, each episode is jam packed,” Fedak said. “Right now, it’s pretty full, but we love the character. We’d love to bring her back to the show more often.”
Luke asked: It’s been a while since we had a great Jeffster moment. More Jeffster! Get ready to rock. The “most outrageous” Jeffster performance you’ve ever seen is coming up, says Fedak. And the version of the song that will appear in the episode is only a snippet of the full (and no doubt wonderfully ridiculous) experience. The “incredibly long version of the song, which is just outrageous and amazing” will likely be part of the season 4 DVD extras.
TVWatcher asked: Are they going to have another season next year? When NBC picked up the show for 11 more episodes in October (for a total of 24 for the season), it was a very promising sign. But Fedak admits that he’s “not used to feeling relaxed. I have special shoes designed for walking on bubbles.”
Mary asked: SOOOO happy Chuck won the poll. Now my question: I read on IMDB that Matthew Willig is coming back as Yuri from “Chuck vs. the Tango.” Does that mean we’re going to see La Ciudad, too? Funny story. Matthew Willig will be returning to the show, but he’s playing a different Yuri — apparently, a favorite character name for the great writing team at Chuck. He’ll be playing Yuri the Gobbler in the aptly titled episode “Chuck versus the Gobbler,” but Fedak teased: “…I won’t go into why he’s called the Gobbler — it’s because he eats people!” I don’t think he was joking.
Nicki said: Way to go Chuck fans! Any scoop is appreciated. Okay, how about this: An upcoming episode will reveal some new — possibly vital — information info about Buy More.
Maggie asked: YAY! Love Chuck! It doesn’t get enough love. I’d like to know what’s coming up with the Volkoff storyline. Straight to Fedak with this one: “Our team finds themselves in a terrifying situation, which may be Chuck’s worst fear.”
