Exclusive Interview: ZACHARY LEVI GETS A SEASON 3 UPGRADE ON ‘CHUCK’
The star talks about the new season, the six extra episodes and how the show has both changed and remained true to its roots. CHUCK is the NBC sci-fi comedy/drama about a young computer repair tech who gets caught up in espionage when his brain is filled with a secret government program that allows gives him all sorts of knowledge. Now in its third season, CHUCK’s return after Season Two looked iffy for awhile, but when it was picked up, NBC was very happy with the results that they commissioned an extra six episodes before any of the first thirteen of Season Three had aired. Zachary Levi, who plays the title character, spoke with iF about the extra episodes and how CHUCK, both the series and the character, has changed, yet remained true to itself now that our favorite Buy More employee has acquired martial arts skills thanks to an upgrade in his cranial computer intersect. iF MAGAZINE: Tonight marks the start of the airing of six additional CHUCK episodes that got ordered after Season Three had started production. When you folks got the order for six more episodes, were you surprised? Gratified? Did you see that coming beforehand at all? |
